A long time ago—it feels like a past life to me—I was abandoned during my pregnancy. The baby I was expecting had Down syndrome. My partner at the time couldn't cope and left me and his child. My child lived to be 38, and I had to let her go. Despite this immense sadness, I look back on my past with a very good feeling; she gave me so much happiness and joy.
