My husband is already developing dementia at a relatively young age. We once agreed that when the time was right, I could look around for another man. Although I will continue to care for him until the end, the time has come.

I used to always be around good friends and nice men, but those days are sadly over. Now, one special man would be more than enough for me, but I have to find him first.

My job doesn't really do much for me; I dread going to work more and more every day. No nice colleagues, no understanding boss, I'm the butt of the job, the laughingstock of my colleagues. Even my trusted advisor at work doesn't seem to care, so I'm thinking about quitting and enjoying my retirement. That's another point: I'd prefer to enjoy life with a loving man by my side.

Over the past few years, I've invested a lot of time and energy in my relationship, but apparently, it hasn't had much effect. Now I'm changing course and thinking about myself. We only live once, after all.
