Dutch grandmother

I do have "single" listed on my profile, but it's a bit different. My husband has dementia and has been in a nursing home for years. Things have gotten to the point where he doesn't recognize me or the children anymore. I visit him every week; it's a real ordeal to see your own husband deteriorate like that. I don't have a married life anymore; what I'm looking for is a man who can accept that I'm still married on paper. I can't bring myself to get a divorce; it feels like a stab in the back for my husband.

I don't know if I'm making a mistake or not. But in everyday life, I never meet the ideal man. One who's enterprising, adventurous, and always up for a fun trip.

According to my friends, I shouldn't be dating a man at my age. But why not? I'm not that old, I'm not even close to the grave yet. So I'm just being stubborn and going to find a nice, crazy guy who wants to spend the rest of his life with me.

For my age, I still have a very good body, and I'm proud of it. Of course, I have to work for it. I like to stay active, and doing that with a wonderful man would be absolutely fantastic.
