Never, ever could I have imagined that my partner would abandon me in my old age. We were married for 47 years, and suddenly he had a younger girlfriend, who could be his granddaughter. The pain has been intense, but life goes on. I have to make something of it; maybe I still have a chance to find a nice, honest, sweet, and trustworthy man.

My dark complexion turns off many men, but unfortunately, I can't change that. Inside, I'm just like any other Dutch person. I'm adopted, I've lived in the Netherlands my whole life, and I'm a true Dutch person at heart. I hope to find a man here who sees beyond my dark appearance and doesn't immediately judge me. I don't like being pigeonholed.

Retirement is just around the corner, and I'm really looking forward to it. Finally, no more bossy obligations, finally sleeping in, finally living the life I want. And more importantly, finally time for a loving husband, whom I hope to find this way.

If I had to describe my life, I could only say "amazing." I want to add a wonderful man to that amazing life of mine, then the picture would be complete for me.
